TRADER'S NOTES: 1st Generation.

Company - Theatre Royal, Sydney, Australia - 2007 (Pro-Shot)

FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD)

CAST: David Campbell (Bobby/Bobbie), Anne Looby (Joanne), Katrina Retallick (Sarah), Simon Burke (Harry), Natalie Alexopoulos (Susan), James Millar (Peter), Pippa Grandison (Jenny), Rodney Dobson (David), Christie Whelan (April/Andy), Trisha Crowe (Kathy/Theo), Tamsin Carroll (Marta/PJ), Chelsea Plumley (Amy/Jamie), Scott Irwin (Paul), William Zappa (Larry)

NOTES: Directed by Gales Edwards. This almost looks like it was filmed for TV, but it was most probably just filmed for the cast and crew, or maybe it was filmed for press reel purposes.  Full show, filmed using multiple cameras with sound patched directly in from the soundboard.  Interesting production, with a different interpretation.  The stage is a black-and-white checker board design with a large-framed, red ribbon-tied set, and the cast is dressed entirely in black and white with an occasional splash of red.

TRADER'S NOTES: 1st Generation.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street - Second West End Revival - 2012 (Theatre Kart's master)

FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD)

CAST: Michael Ball (Sweeney Todd), Imelda Staunton (Mrs. Lovett), Lucy May Barker (Johanna), John Bowe (Judge Turpin), James McConville (Tobias Ragg)

NOTES: A nice HD Capture in 16:9 wide-screen of a very interesting presentation which notably takes place in the 1930s instead of 1846 and restored the cut-off number Johanna (Mea Culpa). In the shot there are two heads visible from the people seated in front of me. Not a complete capture. The recording ends shortly after Mrs. Lovett takes Tobias downstairs to show him how she makes the pies.

TRADER'S NOTES: NFT forever. Directly from the Master.

Sweet Charity - Avery Fisher Hall Concert, New York - 1998, June 15 (Unknown Master)

FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD)

CAST: Chita Rivera, Bebe Neuwirth, Donna McKechnie, Debbie Allen and Gwen Verdon (Charity Hope Valentine), and Cy Coleman, Hinton Battle, Betty Buckley, Jim Dale, Dom DeLuise, Whoopi Goldberg, Robert Goulet, Pamela Isaacs, John McMartin, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Charles Nelson Reilly and Lillias White in supporting and cameo roles, and a dancing chorus of over 30 others recreating the dances of Bob Fosse.

NOTES: This one-night-only concert, staged at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall was organized to benefit BC/EFA and AmFar and raised about $453,000.00. This is more of a fully staged show, complete with costumes, staging and choreography, rather than some of the other BC/EFA concert shows which have actors in street clothes holding scripts. Filmed using one camera on a tripod with sound patched in from the sound board. Disc also includes interviews with cast and rehearsal footage.

TRADER'S NOTES: 1st Generation.

Taboo -  Broadway - 2004, February 8 (Unknown Master)

FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD)

CAST: Euan Morton (George O'Dowd), George O'Dowd (Leigh), Raúl Esparza (Philip Salon), Liz McCartney (Sue Tilly), Cary Shields (Marcus), Sarah Uriarte Berry (Nicola), Jennifer Cody (Ensemble)

TRADER'S NOTES: 1st Generation.

The Producers - Broadway - 2002, December 19 (Unknown Master)

FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD)

CAST: Brad Oscar (Max Bialystock), Roger Bart (Leo Bloom), Gary Beach (Roger De Bris), Brad Musgrove (Carmen Ghia), Cady Huffman (Ulla), John Treacy Egan (Franz Liebkind)

NOTES: Shot from 3rd row balcony. Small splice in the intro-to-Roger's-elegant-UES-townhouse moment because of flipping tapes, so you'll see Roger Bart as Carmen Ghia for a moment there. Great video. Digital.

TRADER'S NOTES: 1st Generation.

Titanic - Theatre Royal, Sydney, Australia - 2006, November 30 (Pro-Shot)

FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD)

CAST: Hayden Tee (Thomas Andrews), Nick Tate (Captain E. J. Smith), Brendan Higgins (J. NOTES: Single camera proshot with soundboard audio. Sometimes listed as 2005, but the production ran from October - December 2006. Beautiful lavish production with nice performances, however different staging from the American production.

TRADER'S NOTES: 1st Generation.

Wicked - Broadway - 2005, January 9 (Unknown Master)

FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD)

CAST: Shoshana Bean (s/b Elphaba), Jennifer Laura Thompson (Glinda), Joey McIntyre (Fiyero), George Hearn (The Wizard), Carole Shelley (Madame Morrible), Michelle Federer (Nessarose), Robb Sapp (u/s Boq), William Youmans (Doctor Dillamond)

NOTES: McIntyre last. This is the infamous show which should have also been Menzel’s last, but for her trap door injury the night before.  She appears at the very end to make a cameo. Shot from right-mezzanine. Very clear picture and sound; just a little shaky in Act one and Act 2 is sound only for first 5 minutes; the last 3 minutes of Joe's goodbye is sound only - still a great video.

TRADER'S NOTES: 1st Generation.

Wicked - Pantages Theatre, Los Angeles - 2007, April 14 (Unknown Master)

FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD)

CAST: Eden Espinosa (Elphaba), Megan Hilty (Glinda), Kristoffer Cusick (Fiyero), John Rubinstein (The Wizard), Dioni Michelle Collins (u/s Madame Morrible), Jenna Leigh Green (Nessarose), Adam Wylie (Boq), Timothy Britten Parker (Doctor Dillamond)

NOTES: A nice capture of the LA sit-down cast. Slight white washout on faces, but nothing too bad. Dioni's Morrible is quite different from others, but very interesting. Has the correct ratio, which is rare.

TRADER'S NOTES: 1st Generation.
